Fujitsu Ltd has launched Super-BLD, a three-dimensional architectural design support system for creating architectural models, checking against the Japanese building regulations and viewing of the completed building: based on an architectural three-dimensional database with functions for modelling, analysis, presentation and drafting, the software also enables use of graphics for real-time computer imaging of plans; Fujitsu has built on an existing product, ICAD/BLD, making it totally three-dimensional, and adding on computer graphics functions which are based on the PEX standard; the system costs from $53,000 on a proprietary FM G-1×0 series workstation, and 700 over three years is the sales target.
