SUNGARD TREASURY BUYS ANOTHER COMPETITOR

By CBR Staff Writer

SunGard Treasury Systems Inc has acquired the business operations of ICMS International, a treasury management systems software house. The products and operations of ICMS will be combined with the SunGard Treasury System, itself formed out of the recent merger of ADS Associates Inc and Multinational Computer Models Inc (CI Nos 3,257; 3,438). SunGard Treasury says it now has the largest team of treasury industry experts focused on global treasury and risk management systems, and has 750 licenses in 20 countries, making it the world’s largest dedicated supplier. The company is a business unit of SunGard Data Systems Inc, the Wayne, Pennsylvania-based group which has been steadily buying up small, focused software houses in the disaster recovery and financial systems markets since 1996.
