SUNGARD BUYS STORAGETEK XL DISASTER RECOVERY

Storage Technology Corp is pulling its XL Datacomp Inc acquisition out of the disaster recovery business and selling the assets of the operation to SunGard Data Systems Inc, Wayne, Pennsylvania specialist in disaster recovery services. Terms were not disclosed, but the pair say the acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on either company’s financial condition or on the results of operations for 1994.
