As part of the Practice Based Commissioning (PBC) scheme for the NHS, all Primary Care Trusts are now expected to provide standardized financial information. According to TPCT, pbviews was the ideal product to deliver all the information required by general practices in order to understand their financial and clinical activity.
With pbviews financial information is viewed over the web, complemented by a comprehensive dashboard function showing trends, indexed performance and benchmarking information for each measure.
Sunderland TPCT also said it would be leveraging pbviews to collect and deliver all Annual Health Check information to senior executives, giving them a high-level view of their organization’s performance.
Prior to implementing pbviews we were struggling to meet information requirements for Practice Based Commissioning to all of our 54 GP Surgeries, said Scott Watson, performance and commissioning manager, TPCT.
Through the use of pbviews, we have now automated much of the process and are not only saving time and resources previously devoted to data collection and dissemination, but we are also confident we’re now delivering on the information requirements to support Practice Based Commissioning.
