SUN TO SHIP SYNTAX’S TOTALNET WITH NETRA SERVERS

By CBR Staff Writer

Syntax Inc, of Federal Way, Washington, may have hit the big time with news that Sun Microsystems Inc will ship the company’s TotalNet Advanced Server software with its Netra NFS 150 1.1 servers. TotalNET is intended to transform standard Unix systems into advanced servers, processing and distributing enterprise- wide information to desktop users, and Syntax already supplies it to IBM Corp as the basis for IBM’s AIX Connections software (CI No 2,799).
