And Sun has just released SunMathematica, its version of Champaign, Illinois-based Wolfram Research Inc’s Mathematica package, which can perform calculations is all areas of mathematics, and includes numerical, symbolic and graphical computations and acts as a high level programming environment: Sun is targeting education, science, engineering and finance as potential markets for the product which becomes available in January of next year priced at UKP1,500 per CPU, with academic discounts available to educational establishments.
