Sun releases first fruit of SeeBeyond acquisition

Sun Microsystems Inc is announcing the first release of SeeBeyond's integration product under its watch. With the acquisition announced in the wake of JavaOne a couple months back, the new product becomes the sixth module in Sun's Java Enterprise suite (JES).

By CBR Staff Writer

Branded the Java Integration Suite, the product consists of what used to be known as SeeBeyond’s ICAN suite.

The next version of the integration suite is due in Q1 of 2006, supporting the usual mix of UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms in addition to Solaris. Additionally, besides supporting Sun’s JES appserver, the integration suite also supports IBM WebSphere and BEA WebLogic.

It is available immediately under conventional software license and subscription pricing. Additionally, Sun promises to continue supporting existing SeeBeyond products, including the legacy eGate suite.
