The Sun Microsystems-Netscape Alliance is teaming with privately-held Enterprise Engineering Inc to offer financial institutions the ability to establish online brokerage services for their customers. The offering will combine EEI’s financial server software, infrastructure software from Sun-Netscape and Netscape’s Custom Netcenter customizable portal technology.
Specifically, it will comprise EEI’s enterprise financial transaction exchange (e-FTX), Netscape directory and the two application servers offered by the Alliance – Sun’s NetDynamics and Netscape’s application server. EEI’s e-FTX comprises the e-FTX extensible processing engine for online financial services, SIML, a graphics modeling tool for back-end applications and protocol services support for financial industry protocols.
