As a part of this initiative, Sun and Sas have jointly developed the Datacenter of the Future (DcoF) with inbuilt business intelligence capabilities for enterprises to reduce cost and complexities. The architectures can run on all Sun servers, as reported by the BusinessWire.

Sun and Sas also announced an online knowledge center accessible to the customer, which will house reference architectures, white papers, and best practices as a part of the initiative. The companies also agreed to collaborate on joint engineering, marketing, and global sales efforts.

The announcement follows the introduction of business intelligence capabilities in IBM’s data warehouses. IBM launched its DB2 Warehouse Performance Management Suite recently, which uses business intelligence to optimize application performances.
