Although international computer companies are fond of touting market figures that show Europe and the rest of the world representing increasing proportions of their business, Europe will once again play second fiddle to the US in a couple of weeks, when Sun Microsystems Inc and MIPS Computer Systems Inc roll out respectively their Galaxy multi-processing Sparc system and 64-bit R4000 RISC CPU technology: October 1 and October 2 are the dates for the European launches – but the US press corp will be getting the stuff a day earlier; we would of course expect to get the news to you by the time the machines are announced here in Europe.
