SUMISHO DEVELOPS SAS-PHASE IV

Sumitomo software affiliate Sumisho Computer Services has developed SAS-Phase IV, a system to automate the process of applying for drug screening by pharmaceutical companies: the application form is based on a standard set by the Japan Pharmaceutical Industry Association, the software runs on DEC VAX hardware and costs $25,000 to $36,500, and the company is looking to sell between 20 and 30 systems.
