By CBR Staff Writer

SugarCRM, the customer relationship management (CRM) company, has introduced an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Platform Edition aimed at further empowering independent software vendor (ISV) and distribution partners.

The company said that with the new edition, its OEM partners will now have access to flexible, intuitive and open platform in order to build, deploy and manage customised offerings, or embed Sugar functionality into their own solutions.

The tool will allow full access to Sugar source code and developer tools, and can leverage SugarCRM’s open cloud deployment model to offer their custom solutions in the cloud.

Sugar Platform Edition offer companies the ability to use underlying functionality to embed Sugar into any existing system, access to development tools to build xRM offerings, shorter development time along with faster upgrades, and the ability to develop and deploy Platform Edition offerings across any cloud platform.

SugarCRM chief executive officer Larry Augustin said, Sugar Platform Edition allows their growing OEM partner base to bring the power of flexible, intuitive and open software like Sugar to a vastly underserved market.

The company has also unveiled Sugar Logic, a set of PHP and JavaScript libraries, which extends upon SugarCRM’s existing workflow and business logic tools.
