ParTech, a provider of software and hardware systems to restaurants and a wholly owned subsidiary of Par Technology, has announced that the Subway restaurant chain has selected Par as its supplier of in-store hardware point-of-sale terminals.
In addition, Subway restaurants will utilize Par’s global capabilities and infrastructure during its new worldwide technology implementation for deployment and lifecycle support services. The restaurant chain has selected Par’s EverServ point-of-sale (POS) hardware system for its next generation in-store hardware platform over several other vendors.
Thys Van Hout, Subway’s chief technology officer, said: Par’s open, flexible technology and robust functionality makes it easier to integrate within our restaurants in a way that is seamless to our in-store operations. We know the selection of Par will provide significant added value for our business, franchisees and customers.
Ed Soladay, president of ParTech, said: “We’re pleased to have been selected by Subway to facilitate their efforts to exceed their customers’ expectations through first-rate guest service and increase its operational efficiency through this strategic initiative. Par’s selection by Subway continues to strengthen and broaden our position in the hospitality and restaurant business segment. Subway brings multiple market and regional opportunities under one diversified agreement, which fits the ongoing business model for Par.”
