Apple Computer Inc’s sad decline is accelerating in the one place that used to be its strength – the universities. Stanford University, which was traditionally a Mac campus, now reports that half the undergraduates for its computer science program arrive with PCs – and the number is increasing. Last month, Yale university warned that it may soon be unable to provide support for Macs.
