Streaming21 said that it will also aggressively look for new channels and local strategic partners to expand business in the fast-growing IPTV market in Japan.

The company has appointed Mike Chiang as general manager of Streaming21, Japan. In his new role, Mr Chiang will be in charge of Japan’s local engineering, sales support and project management. His primary focus is to further strengthen Streaming21’s leadership position in the IPTV/video on demand (VOD) market, and to explore new business opportunities for emerging HDTV & fixed mobile convergence in Japan.

Currently, Streaming21 has offices in the US, Taiwan, Japan and China. The company’s end-to-end IPTV offering is adopted by many leading telcos and IPTV service providers, including NTT Communications, Korea Telecom, and Chunghwa Telecom.
