San Jose, California-based StrataCom Inc has announced FastPADImp and FastPADmp. The desktop devices are said to be able to replace up to 12 access devices with one multiprotocol device that requires only a single leased line or Integrated Services Digital Network connection, according to Stratacom. The products can be used with public Frame Relay and X.25, private networks, or hybrid networks and use dedicated or ISDN access circuits. FastPADmp supports 12 and FastPADImp six multprotocol ports. The FastPADImp can also route and bridge local area network traffic directly with legacy traffic, according to the company. Both products are available immediately, says Stratacom. Prices for the FastPADmp start at $3,500. The FastPADImp is from $4,500.
