STORAGETEK TARGETS 1991 FOR ITS ICEBERG DISK SUBSYSTEM

Storage Technology Corp’s Iceberg project, designed to shoot the company back into a leadership position in high-end disk drive technology, is reportedly on target to come to market in 1991 with system using an array of 5.25 drives driven by that controller with all the features but fewer of the limitations of IBM’s 3990-3 unit (CI No 1,066).
