The two winning consortia for licenses to operate international phone services in Israel will begin operations in about seven months, the Communications Ministry said yesterday. The first winning group includes Stet SpA, SBC Communications Corp, the Aureq Group joint venture between SBC and the Israeli Kahan Group; Globescom, and Kahan. The second is led by Clalcom, a subsidiary of Clal Industries and includes the Global One teaming of Sprint Corp with Deutsche Telekom AG and France Telecom, and Matav Cable Systems Media Ltd.
