French IT consultancy and outsourcing firm Steria, has announced financial results for fourth quarter 2008. The company has reported a 1% increase in revenue to E459.3m ($581m) for the fourth quarter 2008, compared to E455m ($575.38m) in the year-ago quarter.

For fourth quarter 2008, the company said revenue from France grew 1% to E145m ($183.4m), while UK revenue grew 3% to E180.9m ($228.8m). Germany revenue fell 3% to E61.8m ($78.1m), and revenue from other European regions rose 1% to E71.6m ($90.5m).

For fiscal 2008, the company reported a 1% increase in revenue to E1.76 billion ($2.23 billion) compared to E1.74 billion ($2.21 billion) a year ago. Managed services and BPO revenue grew 1% to E681.4m ($861.8m), while consulting and system integration revenue grew 1% to E1.08 billion ($1.37 billion).

For the year, the company said revenue from France grew marginally to E535.8m ($677.7m), while UK revenue fell 1% to E740.5m ($936.6m). Germany revenue grew 6% to E241.7m ($305.7m), and revenue from other European regions grew 4% to E247.7m ($313.3m).
