For the three months ended March 31, 2005, Steria reported revenue of 278.3m euros ($358.5m), up from 237.1m euros ($305.7m) in the same period the previous year. If revenue generated by Mummert is stripped out, revenue growth was 2.1%. The company does not disclose profitability on a quarterly basis.

The acquisition of Mummert, which was completed in December 2004, helped Steria’s consulting and systems integration division return to growth after a disappointing 2004. The segment recorded revenue of 161.3m euros ($208m) in the first quarter of 2005, equivalent to 58% of total sales.

Mummert also gave Steria a boost in the German services market where the company said the economic climate had deteriorated in the first few months of the year. Steria recorded revenue from operations in Germany of 44.4m euros ($57.3m) in the first quarter of 2005, representing 16% of the company’s total revenue.
