STELLAR’S GS1000 GRAPHICS SUPERCOMPUTER DUE OUT IN MARCH

And puffing up at the rear of the field is Stellar Computer Corp, Newton, Massachusetts, whose GS1000 graphics supercomputer is due out in the third week in March at from $75,000 for the 20 MIPS model of the Unix workstation, $125,000 for a 40 MIPS version: the machine, originally promised for early last year, will ship this month; Stellar was founded by William Poduska, who left another of his creations, Apollo Computer Inc, to start the new company – with Apollo’s blessing.
