Datarange Communications Ltd, UK distributor of StarNet 4000 claimed to be the first modular intelligent wiring centre for Token Ring applications – has announced that the product can now be used with 10Base-T Ethernet networks: it has introduced a range of standards-compliant Ethernet modules that interconnect via the bus on the hub’s backplane or, if used in isolation mode, a module is detached from the backplane segment and can be connected externally to another segment via the 10Base-T co-axial port; the High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire-based company has not released any pricing information and is looking for experienced resellers for the product.
