STANFORD SEEKS PATENT ON ITS TDMA SPEECH AND VIDEO MODEM

Stanford Telecommunications Inc’s ASICs and Custom Products division in Sunnyvale, California is getting ready to apply for a patent on an upstream, multi-user Time Division Multiple Access modulator-demodulator designed to handle speech and video. It also reports that its burst digital receiver is already used in AT&T Corp’s Cable Integrated Services Network here in the UK.
