UpdateExpert has been developed out of a hot-fix and security pack management product acquired by St Bernard Software in 2000.
The San Diego, California-based company has since broadened its security expertise by acquiring an appliance-based filtering company to launch ePrism Mail Filter, a layered email security, anti-spam, anti-virus, and content control package.
The vendor is best known for its Open File Manager file management product for Microsoft and Netware environments.
