SQS is on an expansion drive

The company has created 700 jobs.

By Duncan Macrae

Software Quality Systems, a specialist in software quality, has announced plans to recruit approximately 700 testing and quality experts by the end of this year.

The new hires will expand SQS’ existing capacity and expertise in software quality management and testing.

SQS’ worldwide recruitment drive supports the continuing strong business growth, particularly in the financial services sector. The recruitment process is already underway and new starters have begun to take up the first round of appointments.

The firm is recruiting technical consultants in Europe and the USA, while growing specialist testing teams in offshore test centre teams in Cairo (Egypt) and Pune (India). The new hires will increase capacity in the two strongest business growth areas for SQS – Managed Services and Specialist Consultancy Services, such as automation of software testing and quality assurance for SAP systems.

The new employees will be a mix of experienced quality specialists and graduates with technical degrees together with IT experts from other fields.

The new recruits will have access to the comprehensive training and development programmes provided to SQS’ existing software quality experts. In the coming months, SQS will also be improving and broadening internal tools, such as its online training system, to ensure each consultant’s continuing expertise in software quality and testing.

Diederik Vos, CEO at SQS, said: "As the world leader in our market, we are by our very nature an attractive employer.
"We provide software quality services to a large number of global corporations in all major industry sectors. Added to this is the strong, on-going expansion of our business. Anyone who works in our growing company has a whole host of career advancement opportunities available to them."
