Digital music service provider Spotify has released a new free streaming service for Android and iOS mobile devices.
The free service, which costs $10 (£8) per month, will allow users to stream playlists for free and to play back tracks in a random order.
The company said it would expand the services to 20 more countries, increasing the total to 55.
Spotify founder Daniel Ek said the service would tempt more people to eventually switch to the premium version where they could access higher-quality audio, no adverts and the ability to listen to songs offline.
"Our very clear mission is getting more people to access and discover more great music," EK added.
"Along with more free users there will be more subscribers, and that means more revenue back to the industry."
Previously, the online music service was available for free for the PC and desktop users.
