The Redwood City, California-based company launched in late 2004 to provide support services for Linux and other open source projects. It has subsequently refined its business model to offer a number of pre-built and made-to-order open source infrastructure stacks as well as the requisite support services.

The company is now building on top of those stacks, with certified application configurations covering CRM, email and calendaring and web content management. It has struck a deal with Norfolk, Virginia-based Centric CRM to offer the Centric CRM SpikeCertified Java-based customer relationship management software.

Meanwhile the deal with Tarrytown, New York-based Open-Xchange sees it offering Open-Xchange Server SpikeCertified for messaging and collaboration. The two offerings are in addition to SugarCRM Solution for SpikeNet, which was enabled by a relationship struck with SugarCRM Inc in February, as well as Drupal SpikeIgnited, based on the Drupal open source web content management platform.
