UK printer distributor Qudis Ltd of Bracknell, Berkshire has been acquired by Specialist Computer Holdings Group Ltd, Birmingham, West Midlands for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition puts Specialist on course to announce an annual turnover of 500m British pounds at its year-end this March, following last year’s acquisitions of Network SI Group Ltd (CI No 2912) and the networking arm of Data Translation Inc of Marlborough, Massachusetts (CI No 2967). Qudis, like the other recently acquired companies, will remain a separate company trading under its own name within the Specialist Computer Holdings Group. Qudis sells mostly Hewlett-Packard printers and networking products to small resellers, and has an annual revenue of 30m pounds. There will be no lay-offs.
