H L Sparky Sparks, the 25-year personal computer industry veteran who developed IBM’s original dealer distribution strategy for the Personal Computer has been named president of the Amdek Corp subsidiary of Wyse Technology, which supplies IBM-compatible monitors and Compact Disk Read-Only Memory subsystems; Sparks quit Tandon Computers at the turn of the year, and was with Compaq for 30 months after he left IBM.
