A database containing the technology research of 33 universities, 12 private research organisations and 10 public research bodies has been announced by the General Secretary of the Spanish National Research and Development Plan. According to Computerworld, the Datri database is to be integrated into the OTRI/OTT network which is part of a Business Information Service provided by the Institute of Small and Medium Sized Businesses. Costing $3.1m, Datri is part of a movement to promote the transfer of technological information between public research bodies and the private sector, and it was jointly set up by the Institute and Spanish Interministerial Commission of Science & Technology.
