Australian travel product distribution company Southern Cross Distribution Systems Pty Ltd has signed with Unisys Corp to market the TravelEase software system to Australian travel agencies: Southern Cross was formed this year as a joint venture between Ansett Airlines and Australian Airlines to market the Galileo global air reservation system to agents in Australia; it currently uses Covia’s Apollo central reservation system, but will migrate to Galileo in the second half of 1990; the TravelEase software integrates host reservation system access, office automation, customer profiles and more, on a personal computer for both airlines and travel agents worldwide.
