SONY’S ERASABLE OPTICAL DISKS TO SLOW?

With regard to those erasable optical disks of which Sony Corp is clearly so proud (see front), we hear that there’s a group at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg with five of the Next Inc workstations, and have stopped using the optical drives altogether, and are using magnetic ones only – because the Sony ones are so-o-o-o slow.
