SONY TO MANUFACTURE, MARKET TAPE CARTRIDGE PRODUCTS UNDER LICENCE FROM 3M

Sony Corp is to manufacture and market quarter-inch tape cartridge products under licence from 3M, Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co: the Sony QD-300XLP and QD-600A data cartridges will be available from February 1988, with the QD-2000 and QD 600XTD being added to the Sony family later this year.
