Sony Corp has established two new computer-related subsidiaries, one, Sony Systems Design, will handle packaged software development and marketing, and data processing systems consultancy, and hopes for annual sales of $14m within three years; the other, Sony Data Processing, will tout for facilities management contracts, starting with the operation of Sony’s retail data processing network, as well as again doing technical consultancy; target is $5.5m in three years.
