Sony Ericsson has expanded its family of communication entertainment phones with the launch of Xperia X10 mini and X10 mini pro, compact versions of Xperia X10, to deliver application packed mobile phones.

Built on the human curvature design philosophy, the Xperia X10 combines the Android platform with signature applications and UX platform designed for smaller devices. Xperia X10 comes with 5 megapixel camera, web, FM radio, bluetooth, micro USB connector, NeoReader barcode scanning app and Wi-Fi.

According to Sony Ericsson, the Xperia X10 mini and X10 mini pro come with the company’s Timescape that brings together all communication in one place; four customisable icons for control; Android platform with Google services and Android market; and QWERTY keyboard that allows to slide and text for messaging for Xperia X10 mini pro.

In addition, the X10 mini and X10 mini pro come with 2.55-inch touchscreen display and supports networks including HSPA 900/2100 and EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, HSPA 850/1900/2100 and EDGE 850/900/1800/1900. They pack battery, micro USB cable for charging, synchronisation and file transfer, stereo portable handsfree, 2GB microSD memory card and user documentation.

The X10 mini will be available in selected markets from second quarter of 2010, in the colours Pearl White, Black, Pink, Lime, Red and Silver, while X10 mini pro will come in Black and Red colours.
