SONY DEVELOPS A THIN AND LIGHTWEIGHT 2″ FLOPPY DISK DRIVE

Sony Corp has developed a thin and lightweight 2 floppy disk drive, the PDD-110, as its successor to the previous PDD-100: the access time is 79mS, data transfer rate is claimed to be a rather unlikely 14.3Mbits-per-second; and the thing measures just 2.5 wide by 3.5 deep by 0.8 high, and weighs five ounces; evaluation quantities are $150.
