The Sony Xperia S will be up for sale in the first week of March in UK at a price of £468, with the electronics maker currently processing pre-orders through the online retailer Clove.
It will be Sony’s first Android device launch after separating from Ericsson.
The phone will come with a 4.3 inch LED backlit full-touch reality display, a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and would be powered by dual-core 1.5GHz processor.
The highlight of the phone is said to be its 12 megapixel camera with an Exmor R lens.
This device can enable one to watch a 720p video on television by hooking a micro-HDMI port up to the TV.
The Xperia S is built around the Gingerbread 2.3, with an upgraded Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version touted to be complete after the current release.
Sony Xperia S is set to launch in Australia inside the first quarter of 2012.
