Sony Mobile Communications has unveiled two new smartphones, the Xperia P and Xperia U, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona.

The latest additions to Sony’s Xperia NXT series, these smartphones come with 1 GHz dual-core processors.

The smartphones support Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine for clarity and a new user interface which is said to enhance the Android experience.

Xperia P has a SmartDock that offers connectivity to multiple screens and offers a 4-inch Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine.

Xperia U offers a 3.5-inch Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine and 5MP camera with HD recording and Sony technology to capture 2D and 3D images.

Both the smartphones will be available to consumers worldwide in the second quarter of this year.
