Sony has unveiled its latest high-definition walkman, dubbed the NW-ZX2, at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The new Walkman is a high-end model in the company’s ZX series, with Sony promising the walkman provides a higher-quality sound.

It has 128GB of storage capacity and provides up to 60-hour battery life, with 33 hours of Hi-Res playback (at 192 kHz/24 bit).

The NW-ZX2 is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and can be paired with Sony’s new MDR-1ABT Headphones which will provide ultra high quality playback over a Bluetooth connection.

Users will also be able to play music over multiple connected devices through SongPal Link.

Daily Mail Online reported Sony Electronics president Mike Fasulo as saying: "The new Walkman is a great example of the quality of hi-res audio; it is tailored for outstanding sound.

"You’ll be able to elevate the audio quality of your existing library. We can add quality, depth and more emotions to the cherished tunes in your collection."
