The package provides for encrypted wireless access to corporate networks or the Internet.
The Sunnyvale, California-based vendor said the release is a sister product to the Global VPN Client system for PCs and laptops it launched earlier this year.
The Pocket GVC system is said to be compatible with a full line of wired and wireless security appliances, including the SonicPoint 802.11a/b/g access points. Sales of Pocket GVC will be targeted at 802.11 users in healthcare, hospitality, government, manufacturing, warehousing and retail sectors.
