The new EDGe participants, France-based Clickteam and UK-based The Game Creators, are introducing applications that verify and export format-compliant advanced content for the new high-definition packaged media formats. Designed to work seamlessly with Sonic’s Scenarist authoring systems, EDGe developers’ products such as those from Clickteam and The Game Creators will streamline the production of game-oriented bonus content and make it significantly easier for Hollywood studios and professional content holders to add compelling extras to their HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc titles. The Game Creators, based in Wigan, England, are introducing HD Game Maker for HD DVD platform.
The new EDGe program provides tools and support to enable the successful definition, creation, and marketing of Scenarist-compatible capabilities that can be adapted for use in multiple projects and includes access to Sonic’s Quality Assurance Team and worldwide sales channels.
