SONIC Vs MARIO

By CBR Staff Writer

There’s a fortune to be made by the first video games developer that creates Sonic meets Super Mario and Fights to the Death for the Atari Corp Jaguar system of course – and to be lost again in the courts, no doubt: Sega Enterprises Ltd’s Sega of America Inc unit said 1994 promised to be its best sales year ever and both Sega and Nintendo Co both claimed victory in the fierce battle for market share in the $6,000m US market in 1993 – Sega claims it outsold Nintendo by a wide margin in the crucial holiday selling season and shipped more than 1m units every month of its 16-bit Genesis games system since September, for a total of nearly 6m in all 1993, but Nintendo projected it will sell 6.8m units of its 16-bit Super Nintendo Entertainment System, in its fiscal to March 31.
