Solidstate Controls Inc of Columbus, Ohio has paid $10.3m for substantially all the assets of the PTI Industries Inc subsidiary of Pentron Corp, San Jose, California: the unit manufactures and markets emergency power supplies and power surge protectors for the personal computer and telecommunications markets under the Datashield name.
