SolarWinds, a provider of IT management software, has released Orion IP SLA Manager and Orion NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) modules with the updated versions that offers monitoring capabilities across distributed networks.

SolarWinds vice president product management and product marketing Sanjay Castelino said that in today’s distributed enterprise, there is added complexity in maintaining WAN performance and network traffic awareness with satellite and remote offices becoming more widespread and users requiring access to business applications and data from anywhere and anytime.

"With the right IT management offerings in place to ensure network visibility, companies can realise significant productivity by supporting a distributed and highly connected workforce," Castelino said.

The Orion IP SLA Manager v3.5 and Orion NTA v3.7 enable IT teams to monitor their WAN performance issues and identify how their distributed network is being used.

The updated versions can be used with Orion Network Performance Monitor (NPM) as the foundation to gain a comprehensive perspective of their IT environment from an easy-to-understand, single pane of glass.

The Orion IP SLA Manager v3.5 automatically discover existing and manually created operations on a device, simplifying IP SLA management on a distributed network, and support Cisco’s ICMP Path Echo and ICMP Path Jitter.

Orion NetFlow Traffic Analyzer v3.7 provides web interface and navigation, and new resources and reports such as Interface Alerts with Top Talker Details that enables IT pros to generate an alert when a specific interface exceeds a predefined threshold and can identify bottlenecks before a remote site is affected.
