SOFTWARE RESEARCH ASSOCIATES TO OPEN OFFICES IN LONDON & CHICAGO

By CBR Staff Writer

Just as trade used to follow the flag in the days of the British Empire, so Japanese service companies are following the economic colonists of Japanese industry around the globe: Software Research Associates plans to begin full-scale international operations by opening offices in London and Chicago to complement its New York representative office; it is looking for additional business from existing Japanese customers setting up plants requiring manufacturing control systems – such as Mazda in Chicago – and from financial institutions wanting 24-hour trading systems; a US West Coast office, and joint development projects with universities and research institutions are also in the company’s plan.
