By CBR Staff Writer

Software AG is the latest software house to jump aboard the component bandwagon. The company’s Natural fourth generation language has been upgraded to support web capability and the Microsoft Corp DCOM Distributed Common Object Model. Syntax has also been standardized across all systems, and Year 2000- compliance added. Version 3.1 for Windows NT and Unix is out in October. Version 3.1 for MVS is out next year, but version 2.3 for MVS, due in October, will be identical to 3.1 on other systems except for DCOM support.
