Zynga’s chief game designer Brian Reynolds, who was responsible for the development of titles including ‘CityVille 2’ and founded the company’s Baltimore studio, has left the troubled online gaming firm.
During his four year tenure, Reynolds’ work has included the development of FrontierVille, Farmville 2, ChefVille and CityVille 2.
Zynga president of games, Steve Chiang, said that Brian has a long history in the game industry and has been a great partner to the creative leaders at Zynga.
"I want to thank him for his leadership of the Zynga Baltimore studio in the design and development of FrontierVille, which brought many innovations to social gaming," Chiang said.
"We appreciate Brian’s contribution and we’re proud of the deep bench of creative leaders who are leading the next wave of game innovation at Zynga. We wish Brian the best in his next chapter."
In recent months, Zynga has seen several senior executives exit the companuy, including vice president Roy Sehgal and general manager, Steve Schreck who left the firm in December 2012.
The firm has also revealed plans to lay off 5% of workforce in addition shutting down some of its studios.
