Wyse Technology has unveiled version 2.0 of its remote desktop application PocketCloud for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
PocketCloud allows end users to access their files, desktop and applications on any physical or virtualised infrastructure via a choice of popular protocols.
The company said that PocketCloud is VMware Ready Certified for VMware View for the entire family of Apple iOS devices, with integration into a pre-existing VMware View environment.
The offering provides mobile display and control of physical or virtual instances of Microsoft Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Remote Desktop Services, and Terminal Services features in Windows Server products.
PocketCloud for iPhone and iPad also includes the new PocketCloud Premium that enables a richer interaction with the multimedia, files and applications in Windows desktops.
The version 2.0 features virtual desktop video streaming offering, easy access to user’s devices with minimal setup, VNC support, external monitor support on iPhone 4 and iPad and iPhone 4 retina display support.
