Collaboration applications provider Workshare has launched private and hybrid cloud-deployment options which should help users to better control and share their corporate information.
The new options are supposed to enable users to store files and data on premise behind their own firewall in a private-cloud model.
Other options allow users to choose their own storage infrastructure and encryption services using Workshare’s public-cloud application.
Workshare said this would ensure greater security and privacy when businesses collaborate and share information with other businesses.
Anthony Foy, CEO at Workshare, said: "The need to have greater control over how corporate information is stored, accessed, and shared has become a top priority for businesses.
"CIOs recognise this need but find it difficult to find a solution that gives them the level of control they require. Workshare’s private and hybrid cloud options offers an unmatched level of control."
Workshare acquired IdeaPlane, an enterprise social network for highly regulated industries, in November 2012.
