Wizzard Software, a provider of speech technology applications, has announced the availability of version 4.2 of AT&T Natural Voices Text-to-Speech for Linux.

The software includes a new streamlined architecture that is said to make it easier for application and web developers to deploy high-performance speech systems.

In addition to 20 voices in eight languages, the new version adds Italian. Wizzard is expected to release the 4.2 version for Microsoft Windows early in 2009. It will offer version 4.2 in a variety of licensing models to developers, integrators and business clients.

AT&T Text-To-Speech products include AT&T Natural Voices Text-To-Speech SDK for desktop and Text-To-Speech Server SDK for telephony.
